SKIF Great Britan - Sensei Ryusho Suzuki
49th SKIF-GB Summer Gasshuku with Sensei Ryusho Suzuki, 7th Dan from SKIF HQ Japan.
Suzuki Sensei first came to England in 1999, when Asano Hanshi invited him to teach alongside him at the 3 Day Summer School at Nottingham University. This was one of the first places he visited overseas to teach, and we are looking forward to welcoming him back to Nottingham and training with him.
Suzuki Sensei has competed at several SKIF World Championships taking Silver in the Men’s Individual Kumite in Mexico in 1991 and being part of the winning 5-Man Team Kumite in Yokohama in 1994. Fast forward to Durban 2003, where again he took Gold in the Men’s Individual Kata, a competitor who consistently performed exceptionally well in both Kata and Kumite.
